Clear Your Browser's Cache and Cookies
Clearing the cache and cookies from your web browser is a simple way to fix internet browsing problems. The cache is a temporary storage area your browser uses to load pages faster by keeping copies of recently visited websites. Cookies are small text files websites store to remember your preferences.
Sometimes the cache and cookies become corrupted or outdated, causing slow page loads, broken images, and unexpected errors. Clearing them often resolves these problems.
How To Clear Them
In most browsers, use this keyboard shortcut:
- Windows
- CtrlShiftDelete
- Mac
- CommandShiftDelete
A dialog box will open. Check "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data", then click "Clear data."
Important: After clearing the cache and cookies, close and restart your browser so the changes take effect.
